上野耕路/Koji Ueno - Okinawan Childai

石垣島出身の高嶺剛監督による1989年の長編映画”ウンタマギルー”のために、上野耕路が制作した作品が、ボーナストラック3曲を収録して初のレコード化。作編曲家/ピアノ、キーボード奏者の上野は、80年代は戸川純、太田啓一とともに”ゲルニカ”として活躍。伝統的な琉球民謡の旋律にあえて捉われない方法で、深淵の中空の砂の上に、新しい指使いで軌跡を描いたような美しい東洋的アンビエント。新レーベル”Flowmango”より今冬リリース。

This work, produced by Koji Ueno for the 1989 feature film "Untamagiru" directed by Ishigaki-jima native Tsuyoshi Takamine, is now available on record for the first time with three bonus tracks. Composer/arranger/piano and keyboard player Ueno was active in the 1980s as part of the group "Guernica" with Jun Togawa and Keiichi Ota. This beautiful oriental ambient piece is like a trail drawn with new fingering on the hollow sand of the abyss, in a way that is not bound by the melodies of traditional Ryukyu folk songs. Released this winter from the new label "Flowmango".
