Released in 1970 by Kama Sutra, which had just become a subsidiary of Buddah Records, this LP features medieval mass music played on MOOG synthesizers and harpsichords. The moment you drop the needle, a strange world unfolds, recreating the majestic music with the warmth and sway of the MOOGs and voice processing. Furthermore, during the one-minute interlude between songs, a mysterious sound effect produced by the MOOGs plays over seven points on the record, behind a male narrator. This is a strange record born of its time.
