This LP features eight tracks from the legendary live mix show "FREEZE," where hip-hop legends DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist played only on 7-inch vinyl. It's the first of six volumes released in a single year starting in 2001. The eight tracks include a novelty song (=A4) released in 1967 by 7-Eleven (which originated in Texas) to promote drink "SLURP," as well as other groovy Soul, Funk, and Boogie tracks that were previously only available on high-priced records.
HipHopレジェンドDJ ShadowとCut Chemistがタッグを組み、7インチのみで披露した伝説のライブ・ミックス・ショー”FREEZE”でプレイされた中から8曲を収録したLP。2001年から1年間で一挙Vol.6まで発売された中の、1枚目。実は米テキサス州発祥のセブン・イレブンが、ドリンク"SLURP"の販促用に1967年に発売したノベルティソングのA4をはじめ、高額盤に収録の、ごきげんでグルーヴィーなSoul, Funk, Boogieを8曲収録。
