1970年 第1回大阪万博の鉄鋼館・スペースシアターで上演された3曲を、2チャンネル／ステレオ化したレコード。1,000超のスピーカーが天井/床下に埋め込まれ、最高24チャンネルが同期する超立体音楽堂スペースシアターのために、武満徹、高橋悠治、Iannis Xenakisそれぞれ1曲ずつ作曲。
身体を透過する違和感から、神経の奥底に直接流れ込む3つのドラマ。それらは3人のあまりに真摯で深淵な、音への探求心の結晶であることがライナーノーツと振動を通して、今ここに伝わってきます。
指揮は小澤征爾と若杉弘。演奏は日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団。1980年再発盤。
This record features three songs performed at the Space Theater in the Steel Pavilion at the 1st Osaka World Expo in 1970, now in 2-channel/stereo format. Toru Takemitsu, Yuji Takahashi, and Iannis Xenakis each composed one song for Space Theater, a super three-dimensional music hall with over 1,000 speakers embedded in the ceiling/under the floor and up to 24 synchronized channels. Conducted by Seiji Ozawa and Hiroshi Wakasugi. Performed by the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
Three dramas that flow directly into the depths of your nerves from the sense of discomfort that permeates through your body. Through the liner notes and vibrations, you can feel that these are the crystallization of the trio's deep and sincere exploration of sound.
